B & B Nishimine, hotel in Uda

Only a 5-minute drive from historical Muro-ji Temple, B & B Nishimine offers cozy accommodation with free wired internet.

A calm place in the heart of the mountains, for those looking for peace, nature and a mystical view. People who want to get to know traditional Japanese culture come here. Okasan - mother in Japanese - prepared a traditional dinner for us (with advance reservation), Otosan - father in Japanese, set the table. Highly recommended!

Guesthouse Tamura, hotel in Uda

Renovating a Japanese-style private house with a 100-year history, Guesthouse Tamura offers an accommodation in Fushigazushi-cho, Nara.

The guesthouse was homey and comfortable. There is a communal table to eat dinner, breakfast etc rather than any lounging areas. I opted in for Junko's delicious breakfast and it was excellent. The house was located very near the Nara Hotel and Naramachi. It was atmospheric and away from the crowds.

The temple - Houjuji -, hotel in Uda

Located in Nara, within 2.5 km of Nara Station and 20 km of Iwafune Shrine, The temple - Houjuji - offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, free bikes and a garden.

It's a temple ! With all commodities. Two houses to stay with garden view. Bicycle on site. Kitchen if needed. Spacious. Beautiful. In a temple. The door is impressive and nice to gaze at during the night. When you visit a temple it is always day so seen the colour changing on a gate like that is magical. Easy get in and out. Found a parking next to it.

We loved the ambiance of this beautiful, traditional old house and garden. Hiro and Yuki are so friendly and caring. Every meal was great and they took great care to prepare vegetarian food. We really felt like valued guests. The area was so pretty and quiet! A holiday from our holiday!! We hope to come back one day and will certainly recommend to friends and family.

ume,, hotel in Uda

Boasting a garden, shared lounge and views of mountain, ume, is situated in Yamazoe, 32 km from Nara Station. This country house features free private parking and private check-in and check-out.

We loved everything about Ume. The beautiful setting, the design, the kindness of the staff and the most incredible meals. We had the smallest room and it was great; nicer than the photos suggest. Lovely amenities and small details in the room. But the reason to come is the food. We adored the dinner - a traditional Japanese multi course meal but very modern and clean and light. The Japanese breakfast was also divine. We would love to come back and stay in the biggest room next time.

NARAigoto EENA HOUSE, hotel in Uda

Located in Nara, 20 km from Iwafune Shrine and 24 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, NARAigoto EENA HOUSE offers a garden and air conditioning.

Hisae is an extremely warm, attentive and welcoming host. When we arrived, she welcomed us with a cup of tea, explained how the house worked and gave us several recommendations (restaurants, sake tasting, etc.). She was there for us at all times, with any questions, and made us feel very welcome. The house is a renovated machiya in the heart of Nara's old town. It really did feel like home. There's a bus stop just a 1-minute walk away, serving all the main points in town. Very useful for visiting Nara. We also took part in a Japanese calligraphy course with an instructor and Hisae, who guided us through each stage of the learning process. We had a magical time, which will remain engraved in our memory. We would definitely recommend staying at the NARAigoto EENA HOUSE and the activities on offer. Many thanks, Hisae!
