北軽井沢 Golden Forest Hotel is situated in Naganohara, 31 km from Honmachi Machiyakan and 34 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park. With a garden, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The hotel has a sauna and luggage storage space.

- One of the prettiest, most spacious rooms I've ever stayed in. Very welcoming and home-like ambiance. Natural light coming through the huge windows. View of the forest from the windows was pleasant. - Systematic design of the bathroom. The sink is outside the toilet and the bath, which was sensible. - Location of the hotel was a short distance from the bus stop. - Omotenashi of the highest level. The hotel staff went the extra mile to make sure the guest's needs are met. The amazing thing about it is that the staff's exceptional service is not motivated by tips; the staff simply genuinely cares about the guest's safety and satisfaction.

One of the best hotel/ryokan experiences we have ever had. Everything here was fantastic - the staff, the service, the facilities, the food, the transport to town, the comfort of the room and beds, and just the way the whole place flowed. The 2 onsens were phenomenal, as were the 3 private onsens, which were easy to book for free. We had a wonderful 3 days here and would highly recommend this magical place!
