Klara Guesthouse, hotel in Ólafsfjörður

Set in central Ólafsfjördur, this guest house overlooks the Eyjafjördur Fjord. It offers rooms with modern décor and views of the surrounding mountains.

Smartly designed and maintained interior, comfortable beds, convenient bathrooms and breakfast room which is small for the house but if one can arrange its shared use with other guests, no problem there. Nice coffee on the ground floor unfortunately opening as we were leaving at 10:30. As is usual in Iceland you don't meet the host (all is beautifully informal) but feel cared for anyway.

The Herring House, hotel in Ólafsfjörður

The guesthouse is located IN the town Siglufjörður, the northernmost town of the Troll Peninsula. , this modern guest house is 16 km from Ólafsfjördur.

The bed was one of the most comfortable of our week. The cabin is cute and very well presented and we enjoyed the outside shower, especially as there was a room with towels and heating and a guitar if you fancy having a strum whilst lounging in your undies. Highly recommend the Herring Museum, it was fabulous and great value for money And the bakery for brekkie

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 adults and 1 baby. A baby bed and high chair was provided by the hotel next to the cabins. The cabin is made entirely out of wood, this is very cosy. Hot tub is very nice to relax. You can use all the facilities of the hotel for free (laundry room with washer & dryer, lounge area, coffee, kayak,...)

very nice cabin, modern and well equipped, in the center of the town. There is a lake a few meters away, an hot tub (jacuzzi) outside. The view around is very nice and you can enjoy a midnight sun in summer. For a family or a group of 4 is a very good option

Such a cute place to stay! Especially the view from the big family cabins at the lagoon is breathtaking. To have your own hot tub with these views is amazing. The cabin is really cozy and has everything you need to cook. Super cozy and homey. Great place to see the northern lights, too!
