There is a little walk from the main road where all the restaurants reside but the location gives a beautiful view with monastery on one side and mountains on the other. 2. Came here one day stayed for 3 days. 😄 They served us with delicious home food, very hospitable and zero nagging/disturbances from owners and house have Android TVs everywhere, watched WCT Final only to lose🥲. Paragliding base is nearby and an advantage. So i m not trying any other option next time I visit. This is a must visit homestay.

Very nice and helpful staff and owner. 10 minutes up from colony road, so relatively quiet and not as much honking as on main road. Still central with a good view from the balcony. Visit his restaurant, he is a good cook and also makes a really good coffie.

- Friendly owners. Our visit was a day before new year and they had an event planned for 31st night. Despite that, they helped in picking us from paragaliding spot and dropping at busstop without even charging us. They were calm and friendly and never in a rush. - Beautiful stream of water just adjacent to the stay pumps a constant calming effect in the air. - There are two trekking trails nearby for exploring - Affordable and tasty food is available at the stay. Bonfire and meditation place available too. - Tents on the terrace were well designed and comfortable even in peak cold weather. Geyser is available and charging points were plenty. - Location was a bit on farther side but, in my opinion, it's worth it.

The Paragliders Landing are is also very near and only two Kms far from Hotel Rigveda. Rooms are clean and the Care Taker of the Hotel is very helpful in nature. It's couple and Family friendly Hotel. Overall it's very good option for staying at Bir Colony.
