The warm welcome when we arrived. The house is clean, bright and just perfect.
The welcome book, the basket of snacks, the milk in the fridge, and the apple pie.
Everything was perfect and easy to find. It was lovely to able to put your cases in the rooms and have a drink and take in your surroundings.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, very spacious bathroom with both a shower and a bath. Short drive from Knock. Owner very friendly and provided us a delicious and substantial breakfast.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
A lovely, peaceful rural location that is nonetheless centrally located for nearby towns. The property is very nicely decorated and the rooms very spacious and airy. The real stars though are the hosts who we had such great fun and banter with and who provided a terrific big breakfast (catering very well for our various diets) - and the world’s friendliest dogs: Bonnie, Clyde and Bailey!
Ronald and his wife were very entertaining and welcoming they looked after us as a family. Appreciated that Roland went out his way for almond milk for me and provided a good spread for breakfast to set us up for the day. Hope to return in the future. Definitely recommend Glenvea Guest house...
Our host was just exceptional. Tommy was the full time host and he was so attentive I was just amazed. Plus he's a fantastic cook! And all the help in navigating and finding fun and interesting places to visit was so helpful, better than any tour guide could have been. the rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for all of us. Very quiet country setting but lots to do near by, more than I thought.
The owners Maureen and Ron make you feel so welcome and part of the family they make time to ensure your stay is special and are always available to suggest trips and activities. First class hosts.
Perfect location for exploring the beautiful county of Roscommon with free car park across the road from the hotel. Staff are all superb - friendly, welcoming, professional. Food was amazing - we had breakfast and dinner every day because it was so good. Room was very comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Bar was great fun - lots of local people there who always said hello. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.
