My husband and I loved our stay at Hotel San Miguel! We hadn’t booked a room anywhere in Flores a few days prior to arriving and luckily San Miguel had a private room available. We were a little unsure how it would work to not stay on the Flores Island, and doing the tour to Tikal etc. but we can not recommend San Miguel highly enough! The family boat takes 2 mins to Flores and everyone is so friendly and so helpful. We got a WhatsApp number on check in and messaged the guys anytime we needed a boat and they wer available 24/7. We were able to get a boat to Flores at 4am to do our tour to Tikal with a company we had booked with when we arrived in Flores. The rooms are spacious and really clean. The showers are good and the guys did our laundry in under 24hours! Free coffee in the lobby is also a nice touch. We really liked staying on a 2 minute boat ride away from Flores, it was a fun mode of transport and felt like we were getting an authentic experience of the locals. We got the best of both worlds! Cant wait to return.

The hotel is very nicely decorated. The pool is pleasant and clean. There is a Jacuzzi with hot water. The rooms are cozy. We had a shuttle at 9pm and for a nominal fee went towards us and left us the room. There are good laundry services. Very helpful in orienting oneself in the area.
