Casa Cicala is a very comfortable house with everything you need. Very suitable for 4 adults and 2 children (the couch in the main room is a little short for tall people). Terraces all around the house so you can find shade at any time of the day. Parking in front of the house is easy, and it is great that the lamps at the gate are on from 9.30pm every night which makes it safe to drive through the gate when coming back after dark.
Location is quite good – 15 minutes to one of the beaches, but we visited at least 5 different beaches. Also, close to 2 major archeological sites, and less than 1 hour drive to Heraklion.
Communication with owner Marika was superb.
Conclusion: We would not hesitate to book Casa Cicala again, should we return to Crete.

This apartment was a real little gem that is run by the owner of the downstairs café/restaurant. It is very comfortable and has good amenities. Although it is in the middle of the village, it is very quiet at nights. The owner was very accommodating and friendly and helped us promptly with any issues and questions. The pool was great to relax in and to meet other people staying at the resort.

We were in Crete in 7 places, little roadtrip. It was one of the two best places where we stopped. We loved that this house is in little village and you can feel peace and real Crete. Owner was very nice and caring. The house was very clean, tasteful and oranized. There was all what you need. Even washing machine. Detailed instructions for everything. My husband and doughter enjoied the really good gym in your own courtyard! Car is in your own garden and that was very comfortable. You have there two floors and your own yard. Two bathrooms (if you have teenage child you understand!!! :)). There were sunbeads. Very safe place! Only a little drive with car and there are food store and nice tavernas, too. Very good place to visit Matala beach. Roads are good and safe. It was my dreamhouse in vecation! Could have been there longer and I would visit again if I will go back in Crete. I recommend this house for my friends.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The hotel is actually a small traditional village (independent houses). It offers marvellous traditional food. Excellent hospitable staff. Our special thanks to the horse instructor for the lesson to out 5-years-old kid.
