A relaxing holiday in a stunning setting. We had the Vassos villa which was perfect for two people with plenty of room and its own outside terrace as well as a private rooftop terrace to die for. Walking distance to taverna and mini market. There is even a fresh water spring 5 minutes walk away where you can refill your water bottles. Yes, the accommodation is a 20 minute drive from stunning beaches but we spent more time relaxing around the poolside reading and taking in the view. Finally, a mention about Jenny the owner. Such a friendly person and nothing was too much trouble. If you want somewhere to escape the crowds- book it!

Super ! Very nice owner, the property is fully renovated and really clean :) looks as boutique hotel! We spent here 5 days and were really happy with our stay. You have new clean room, possibility to order breakfast, small swimming pool with beds, specious parking. Well located as well - 20 minutes walking from Falassarna beach. There is a new small shop just next to the entrance so you can buy all necessities. There are plenty of nice resteurants around. View point just 5 minutes on the top of the hill.

It was amazing! The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable, with an exceptional view towards the sea. The staff are very nice and our host was very helpful, both with recommendations of places where to eat and things to see but also with whatever we needed for our stay.
The breakfast is very tasty, very diverse and a great way to start your day.
We will surely come here again.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing, despite a couple of positives. The rooms were clean, and the coffee served in cute mugs was a nice touch. However, these were the only highlights of our experience.
We were assigned a room facing the street, and the noise from the traffic made it impossible to sleep. If you’re a light sleeper, you should definitely consider this before booking.
Additionally, we requested to be moved to a different room, but our request was denied, even though it appeared that other rooms were available. This lack of flexibility was quite frustrating.
Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives, and this is not a place we would choose to return to.

Spotless and beautifully designed through out. And outdoor space and jacuzzi was a wonderful surprise. Also really quite location. We slept so well. Bed was super comfy too. And the owners checked in as well to make sure everything was alright and we don’t need anything. Also very close to local restaurants and beach.

The room was spacious with nice shower and comfy bed with a good air con. The cleaners are so friendly and always make a nice effort to say hello. Above all, the best asset to this hotel are it’s people. Dimitri, Irene and Eleni are all amazing people who are passionate about having fun and looking after their guests! They rock!!

We recently stayed at Kaliviani Traditional Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The location is perfect, offering easy access to Balos beach while providing a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was a standout, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes and exceptional service. Additionally, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was top-notch, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The view from our room was incredible offering sea views which was good as we found ourselves relaxing on the balcony every night admiring the view. The hotel is also very close to the beautiful beach Falassarna.
Ioannis was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay at Kaliviani was exceptional and smooth.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great experience and most importantly amazing views! We will definitely be staying there again whenever we’re back in Crete. Best hotel in Crete we stayed in by far and we stayed at 5 different hotels including Kaliviani.

Manolis and his family greeted us with a warm welcome of raki or white wine. It was a great start of our stay and it showed the amazing hospitality of the hosts. We stayed in the room facing the valley with a terrace and balcony and a great view. The accommodation is the perfect place to explore the Cretan west coast. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was amazingly delicious, homemade with local products.

The apartment was amazing 👏 perfect location beautiful view and good restaurants nearby. The apartment was the cleanest apartment I have ever been to. They have many equipments and provide a lot more. There was a bottle of wine 🍷 waiting for us when we arrived. Andra, her Mum and Manlonis were exceptional hosts from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. We were greeted with a glass of wine even though we arrived extremely late on our first night and when we were leaving we felt soo sad to go as during our stay we felt like we were part of the family. The food, room. location and service was faultless. We will most certainly be returning and we highly recommend anyone to stay or eat here, you will not be disappointed! Our stay was that good that 2 nights turned into 3!
Good room with balcony with wonderful view over the valley down to the sea - very quiet apart from the bird-song. Friendly family running the taverna, with evening meal included. Easy drive down to Kampos beach - utterly empty and beautiful, a bit stony getting into the sea, but then fine swimming. Excellent value. We had booked for one night, but stayed a second because we liked it so much.
Sunset is a small accommodation (a taverna with a few rooms) in the quiet mountain village of Kambos.
It is runned by a family with a lot of hospatality. Together with the remarkable view, it is a special place to be.
The food was delicious and they went out of their way to make me a vegetarian feast. The rooms were very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The hillside view from the terrace was beautiful and peaceful. Most of all, the family was very thoughtful, generous, and warm. Good vibes here :-)
