Words are not enough to describe this place, but I’ll give it a try!! We definitely recommend to stay here as long as you can, it was so hard for us to leave and we regretted not being able to stay more than 4 nights here! We had everything we could ever need, the house was perfect, very clean and well equipped with everything we may ever need. At our arrival, every little detail was taken care of and the owner, George, went out of his way to accommodate us and have an amazing holiday. He was at our disposal 24/7, literally. He waited for us with fresh fruit, cold water, wine, and rakia, a really pleasure in a sunny day. We even got the opportunity to meet his very welcoming family at our departure (Thanks again, George, for letting us feel like we were part of your family!). The pool was the main point of attraction for us, very clean, perfect size and about 1.5 meters deep with a corner suitable for kids also and an outdoor shower. We were two couples, so the 4 wood sun beds were a perfect match for us. In the night the pool is perfectly illuminated, as in the photos, that gave a nice feeling after the sun went down. The outdoor space was excellent, there were plenty of lovely spaces where you could have your breakfast or dinner, as on the main terrace there is a huge table suitable for at least 6 persons and about 3 other small tables for snacks at the pool or to enjoy a breakfast with sea view. There is a barbecue also for which George provided us with all the necessary (we bought meat from a Synka supermarket in Platanos, a 15 minutes drive on our way to Phalasarna beach). The wifi was very strong indoor and outdoor (about 50 Mbs) so I think it would have been a good place also for work from home. Every room had its own TV with Netflix (although we did not used it, as we were too busy with the pool and lovely beaches around the place, but I think it would be great for kids though).

The villa is absolutely stunning across a dirt road from a rocky beach. There is a large outdoor pool and yard with green grass, perfect for outdoor play on the days when the sea is too rough for going to the beach. Inside is superbly furnished for relaxing, and the kitchen is well equipped if you choose to cook for yourselves. There are a few restaurants a short walk away for when you want to eat out.

Very good stay at Vellanos Villas! Superios quet place in a little village. Very clean and cozy appartment, equipped with all needed facilities. Good Tavern just in 10 minutes walking distance. Jenny is super friendly and intelligent person! It was pleasure for us to speak with her. She looks, what exactly needed by guests and provides very valuable information. Jenny has provided very testy welcome cake, and then (unexpectedly) another one after several days. We were pleased and enjoying both! There are plenty of places to visit around that place. Not all we were able to see, thus will come once more to the West side of Crete. Vellanos Villas is best option to stay (need to book well in advance, as the place is popular). Thanks Jenny! Such a beautiful place in the magnificent hills. Incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The sound of the surrounding nature during the night is a bliss! The apartment is absolutely perfect with everything you could need, a beautiful view on nature and sparkling clean. Irini is a wonderful host, so welcoming, kind and helpful. Her parents, who also take care of the great taverna, are so incredibly kind too. Thank you to everyone for the warmest hospitality!

The house was perfect and tastefully decorated. I found everything i need, it was well equipated. My host was considerate and available. The terrace and the view are amazing, it s a lovely quiet place; perfect to travel alone or as a couple. In the centre of the village of Livadia, you can go by foot to the tavern; the beach is just at 5 minutes.
