We loved the traditional old pub and atmosphere. The staff were all so lovely and food superb. The area is quiet with great walking and we enjoyed seeing the castle. A short visit but very relaxing and a place we would like to return to soon.

Peacocks walk the streets freely!
Excellent little cottage. Very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. A real little home from home which was perfect for me and my 2 young children.
Amazing value for money and Jane is just absolutely lovely.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to others
This was a great, well located property. Although we drove, there is a train station not too far away if you prefer to take public transport. There a small high street of shops and eating places, including a small supermarket. We only stayed for one night, whilst visiting family, but we would like to return to explore the area.
There was a touch of luxury with the lovely Neal's Yard products and the well decorated rooms. As soon as you walk through the door it feels like you are somewhere special.
Everything possible had been thought through, the property had everything you might need! There was plenty of room for the family and the cottage had been built to high quality
lovely location; convenience store and fab tearooms opposite. lovely dinner - for kids too. comfy bed, hot shower. quirky layout. tv with lots of channels.
The hotel is lovely and well run and in a great location. We were staying with family who were in another room and having a large family meal in the resturant. Can't fault the service and staff and location and meal...it was the accessibility of the room which spoilt the occasion .....very disapointed.
Loved all the characteristics of the property and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed here on Halloween night and the staff invited our two children to their Halloween party, which was so lovely and the kids loved it. Food was superb and we all loved the rooms we had. All very comfortable and the oldy worldy feel to them was just perfect
