A friendly hotel in a beautiful historic building. Location was excellent in the old town overlooking the river and very quiet. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean and enjoyed a view over the river and it was good to have small desk in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely old building, great central location.we were in walking distance to our venue for a family party. Lovely big room, there were a couple of small issues which staff were told about and they were going to sort out. It's a shame that they don't do food it would be a lovely place to dine in.

What a lovely, friendly and comfortable place to stay! I didn't have high expectations given the price but they were completely exceeded in every way. The room was clean and so comfy, I slept like a baby and then had the most amazing breakfast. Staff were lovely and I enjoyed it so much I've booked to stay again already.

Lovely friendly place, located close to the river. Check in is in the small pub underneath, then out the back and up outside stairs to the rooms (outside stairs could be a problem for more infirm people), then the rooms are up a further one or two flights of stairs. Room was small but functional, and bathroom was ensuite with a bath (only room with a bath I think - no 4). Staff and customers in the bar were great. I nipped down for a quick glass of wine, and ended up having 4!!!
