Absolutely lovely B&B. Rod and his wife were so helpful during our stay. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. Cooked fresh to order and could tell it was quality ingredients. Graham, setting, staff, biscuits, individuality, welcome, flexibility, floorboards, pot of coffee on arrival. Just a fun place to stay. But if you're a corporate Marriot loyalty points junkie then maybe go to a different station hotel. 😀

The Shepherds Hut was a great place to stay, very comfortable and clean, ideal for a stopover on the way to the Highlands. It was a lot of fun staying on a railway station and a very welcome cup of tea and biscuits on arrival.

What a wonderful place. Very rustic and quirky, might not be everyone's taste but we loved it. We were made to feel so welcome by the hosts who were so friendly. Who would have thought that sitting on a train platform with a few drinks in pure peace and quiet would be fun. Keep up the great work.

I have slept at a train station before, but in much less salubrious circumstances. Graham is a great host and the rooms, while not spacious, are characterful and functional - writing desks included, plus lots of tea, coffee and treats. It's a unique place to stay.
