Absolutely lovely B&B. Rod and his wife were so helpful during our stay. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. Cooked fresh to order and could tell it was quality ingredients. The best thing about our stay was the friendliness and kindness of our hosts. That made quite the difference to a regular hotel. Thanks guys!
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Graham, setting, staff, biscuits, individuality, welcome, flexibility, floorboards, pot of coffee on arrival. Just a fun place to stay. But if you're a corporate Marriot loyalty points junkie then maybe go to a different station hotel. 😀
most important and exceptionally excellent are the warm friendliness and the outstanding hospitality of our hosts. The atmosphere and cosiness of the location itself cannot be described, just go, see and feel!
The Shepherds Hut was a great place to stay, very comfortable and clean, ideal for a stopover on the way to the Highlands.
It was a lot of fun staying on a railway station and a very welcome cup of tea and biscuits on arrival.
What a wonderful place. Very rustic and quirky, might not be everyone's taste but we loved it.
We were made to feel so welcome by the hosts who were so friendly.
Who would have thought that sitting on a train platform with a few drinks in pure peace and quiet would be fun. Keep up the great work.
If you want 5 star accommodation this is not for you. The property and room was as described, quirky and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay and would return We were welcomed with a pot of tea and biscuits and had a pleasant chat with the owner who told us the history of the station and accommodation
I have slept at a train station before, but in much less salubrious circumstances.
Graham is a great host and the rooms, while not spacious, are characterful and functional - writing desks included, plus lots of tea, coffee and treats. It's a unique place to stay.
Shepherds hut room was very cosy. Bed was very comfy and the wandering chickens were fun to watch!
