The location and the building itself was special. Inside there was an unusual layout with lots of sitting areas. It felt comfortable and cosy. The outside garden area was nice too. Quiet location - although we were only 1 night so no time to appreciate the area. Lovely grounds. Good decoration in the hotel. Delicious meal in the restaurant, although should have had a starter as the main a smaller portion.

Nothing at all, the food i paid £15 plus for was chips and a packet of shop bought ham, all stone cold, the guiness is terrible. Just children running this when i arrived, my dinner was served by a child of an age less then 10, would never return

Set in the beautiful village of Bramber, I would strongly recommend The Castle Inn Hotel, whether you are travelling on business or just for leisure. There are so many positive things to say about this hotel, including a friendly welcome, a clean bedroom (with air conditioning!) and fantastic breakfast delivered with a smile. So if you are looking for a family run business away from the mainstream hotels in the Brighton area, this is the hotel for you.

We stayed there with the family for one night, the room looked not fresh like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time, the drinks glasses were dirty, there were cobwebs on the ceiling. The beds were uncomfortable, The next morning we had breakfast which was minimalist. Good thing it was only one night. I won't go back there.

Very pleasant surroundings and provided very convenient sleeping arrangements for a family of 5 in 1 room, which is a rarity. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Would stay there again.

This was everything we could possibly have hoped for! We booked this break as a treat for our wedding anniversary, and took our kids and dogs too. The Carthouse has been restored perfectly, it is extremely peaceful and we didn’t see or hear another soul all weekend and enjoyed our little bubble as a family. If you absolutely need WiFi in your life, you will struggle, but for us, being cut off was just what we wanted and needed. We are already looking at when we can return but next time for longer!
