A lovely location - an ancient Mill House on the banks of a river in an archetypal Wiltshire village. Michael, the host (and an excellent one at that!) is well established here and and it's fortunate he has decided to share! The rooms are very individual and all well appointed. The only meal available is breakfast but everything is available to individual taste and Michael cooks the Full English himself if you fancy that! We had dinner in the local, The Boot Inn (another excellent venue) both nights we stayed - it's literally just 5 minutes walk away at the other end of the village.

Awesome stay- we arrived (very) late and the host was super helpful and made us very welcome. The bed was really comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We had dinner and even though it was really busy the service was great. The food was excellent - interesting options and generous portions.

Very central to Amesbury so easy to walk out to amenities; close to the attractions we were visiting, I.e. Stone Henge and Bluestone vineyard. Parking for 2 cars was brilliant. The courtyard in the back was lovely to sit out in - we were lucky enough to have some sunshine during our short stay. We also appreciated the games, particularly Backgammon. The owners were very friendly and welcoming in all their communications.

All the staff were great. Food was so so , i had the thinnist gammon steak ever., over done. Breakfast was varied but no mushrooms, no choice of egg, scrambled only and awful poor quality streaky bacon. For £12 50 it could have been better. The room was ok , but the tv was in the wrong place sticking out from the wall right next to the bathroom door , begging to be bumped into. The mattress had seen better days the springs boinged every time i turned over but was comfy enough The windows rattled badly with every gust of wind but pieces of folded toilet roll cured that. Toilet struggled to flush . 10 mins drive to Stonehenge so great location and most importantly it was clean
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The Cottage was absolutely beautiful, we felt at home and loved all the little touches, toy box full of toys, essentials for cooking, bathroom fully stocked, this made travelling with children very easy.
Henge Estate is very a homely and beautiful place. We had a great long family weekend there and it is perfect to host larger groups of people and well equipped to do so.
We will absolutely be back!
