Cricket Field House, hotel in Salisbury

A mile from Salisbury city centre, this 4-star (AA) B&B is in its own beautiful gardens, well situated on the A36 for Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Old Sarum and Longleat.

We liked everything about Cricket Field House.. The welcome we received was warm and welcoming. I had asked if we could have a room downstairs especially if there is no lift . We were kindly given an upgrade . So nice of the hosts . Our room was absolutely beautiful , beds comfortable , breakfast very tasty and there was even Vegemite for our toast ! The secret garden was a delight . The Pembroke Arm hotel was a great recommendation for our dinner .

Surprised by the family setup, but it was delightful. Despite not needing it, bunk beds. They make the world more fun. Went above and beyond to accommodate and be friendly.

We stayed here on the way back from Stonehenge. It was a wonderful hotel in a very spacious and beautifully maintained area. There were ponies and cows on the grounds, which the small children loved. For dinner, we went to a pub recommended by the owner. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely space for a family of 4 - it even has a mezzanine level extra bed which came in handy to split up our tween children. Beautifully kitted out throughout and has all the amenities you could want from self catering accommodation (including things like salt, pepper, sugar, soap etc). Ruth and Calum were very welcoming and responsive.

Great staff; attentive and well-trained. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and the ambience in the bar / lounge area is perfect - especially with the fire burning on a cold winter's evening! We also had a family function on the Saturday - a lunch in the Pembroke Room for 16 people, and the food and service could not have been better. Fantastic - thank you!

The location, right across a park, made it ideal for the children to play outdoors. The house was very cosy and the number of rooms was perfect for a family. The kitchen was well equipped and our host left some lollies for the kids since a heat wave was on our way!
