Wonderful accommodation. Very comfortable with excellent views. The breakfasts were really good. I loved my daily fresh fruit salad. The hosts also have lots of local information, and we enjoyed our chats. Our fourth visit to Orkney and this has been the best accommodation by far.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Staff very friendly and approachable. Location only a minute drive from the Pentland Ferry service over from Caithness so convenient for a quick arrival and departure (and only 15 miles from Kirkwall so not too far to visit). If you like seafood the restaurant is ideal and it's not a pretentious place with very much a family-run feel to it. I'd definitely consider staying again if coming back to the Orkney Isles.
Felt like I was with family, very clean room. Staff was very helpful in organizing ferries, tours. And the seafood in the restaurant was spectacular !! The scallops were for the Gods !!!
very affordable stay in good location, practical small room and lovely evening meal. staff very friendly and good parking available. good value for Scotland
This was a good budget stay. I booked for a solo, out of season visit to this dog-friendly hotel. I liked that it was run and owned by a family of Orcadians. 3 star hotel, no frills, warm and comfortable room with decent shower, TV & Netflix. I had all my meals here as most places are closed after September. I was the only person staying here and it was busy with food and takeout meals at night. This was my first visit to Orkney.
