Although cooking wasn’t allowed in the place but as we reached late there so there was no shop opened late night. She allowed us to cook in her garden and she offered cutlery as well. Good behaviour of staff.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
A beautiful location with stunning views over the firth. A lovely place to relax and unwind. We loved the location, views and proximity to Rosemarkie. Enjoyed the cliff walk down to the rocky beach at Hillockhead, swimming in the sea at Rosemarkie, the Fairy Glens and spotting the dolphin at Chanonry Point. Stayed in Pine Cottage which was ideal for our family. Lovely balcony and outside area which was great for our dog and cat. Also loved sitting on the bench and looking out over the sea.
It’s in a lovely location not far from the village of Rosemarkie and Fortrose. A great base and lovely space for a small family. The beds were comfy and it was clean throughout. Loved the balcony!
Stayed at the lodge to attend a family funeral. What a beautiful, peaceful place to be able to relax and reflect. It was very snowy but we woke each morning to find the paths cleared and gritted and a lovely family at another cottage helped push our car out the snow when we got stuck. The house was so cosy and warm and had everything you would need. Would definitely visit again
The location was superb and the views over the Moray Firth were amazing. The beds were comfortable and there was room for everyone to relax and to sit together around the large dining table. The kids enjoyed playing outside.
Fantastic location with amazing views. Lovely spacious yet cosy farmhouse. Great for a family, plenty bathrooms and lovely kitchen dining room. Garden is big with fab views over the moray firth. A few essentials provided which was helpful and a well kitted out kitchen. Friendly and helpful owner. Close to shops and amenities.
Super quiet location off the beaten track with beautiful scenery. A super place to use as a base to visit the local areas. The cottage is well equipped with lots of space. Extremely clean and well kept. Lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, jam and local biscuits on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend for a family holiday.
The location is outstanding. Superb views, very rural yet easy to access. Rich wildlife right on the doorstep (loads of trails amongst gorse, woodland and cliffs, including beaches and caves). We had a close encounter with an otter, lay in the sun on the lawn and watched dolphins below, whilst ospreys, kites and buzzards floated above. All to the continuous sound of skylarks and willow warblers. Property very comfortable, clean and well equipped and well looked after by Rhona and family. A great find.
Lovely, spacious cottage with everything you need. We loved seeing the friendly goat every day. We really enjoyed our family break and hope to visit the area again in the future.
