We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kirklands, It's a beautiful house, full of character and set in lovely surroundings. Douglas was a wonderful host, very welcoming and happy to share his knowledge of the local area and provide advice on places to visit. Breakfast was delicious and included home grown produce. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Very affordable, kelso is a beautiful little town and the hotel had plenty of character, though it did feel a little dated/spooky.
It was perfect for us, as we wanted to experience that older, more historic style of hotel.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend.
The property was exceptional and all the 3 bedrooms are comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the 5 days we spent and lots to explore around Kelso. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived and it had all the amenities needed for our entire stay. My kids loved the property and great for families
Beautifully presented, spacious and homely property. great for families. Lovely location, very close to Kelso and local amenities. Well equipped with all the essentials in the kitchen etc. Nice touch, having a play area with toys & books for kids.
Location excellent for exploring the Borders. Accommodation was as described, lots of shared spaces for eight adults. Four spacious bedrooms with two en-suite and one family bathroom, downstairs toilet. Kitchen diner excellent
Small family hotel situated right in the heart of the town. No parking restrictions and large public car park to the rear. The bar area is small and cosy which leads to conversation with other guests, which is something I like.
The food and service were excellent and couldn't fault, good value for money in a beautiful old town.
