We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kirklands, It's a beautiful house, full of character and set in lovely surroundings. Very affordable, kelso is a beautiful little town and the hotel had plenty of character, though it did feel a little dated/spooky. It was perfect for us, as we wanted to experience that older, more historic style of hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend.

Small family hotel situated right in the heart of the town. No parking restrictions and large public car park to the rear. The bar area is small and cosy which leads to conversation with other guests, which is something I like. The food and service were excellent and couldn't fault, good value for money in a beautiful old town.
