It was a lovely rural bit of land with beautiful old style buildings. The hills overlook the city line which was beautiful at night. We met the owner who was lovely and had a nice chat, overall 10/10 stay

Exquisite location, ambience and decor. Old with a modern approach. Log fires, attentive staff, clean and quiet rooms. They totally understand special dietary requirements so as a coeliac I had the full choice of the menu but a gluten free version prepared especially by the chef for both breakfast and dinner. The room was a superior, the bed was huge and super comfy, shower and bath in the bathroom and plenty of freebies, cocktails, snacks and suchlike.
Originally a manor house, The Hopping Hare now offers stylish en suite rooms and a contemporary bar. There is free Wi-Fi and ample free private parking.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Lovely location adjacent rooms with a shared kitchen so we could sort out breakfast and a snack when we got back rooms functional and bed’s very comfortable both en suite would recommend it to anyone
Patricia and Gerry are excellent hosts and naturally friendly. The room and on suite bathroom was spotless and well designed. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The use of the kitchen and making our own breakfast indicated a level of trust not normally found.
I would strongly recommend our friends and family to stay at the Old Vicarage.
Very friendly hosts. Lovely location and room was clean, nice and cool considering the heat.
Would definitely stay again. Our room also had 2 double beds which would be great for a family staying.
Very comfy bed, spacious room- settee, tea making facilities, milk. Quiet. Host was very helpful and drove us back to Dodmoor Place the morning following a family wedding as we had left our car at wedding venue.
The Old Vicarage is an excellent place in a beautiful location. Our host was charming and came out to meet us when we arrived. There was tea and coffee available in our room and a small kitchen available for making breakfast. We were only in the area for one night for a family get together but I would have been happy to stay for longer and I wouldn't hesitate to book there again.
