As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
It was very well equiped, clean and tidy. Perfect for our small family getaway. The location was amazing, loterally a 10/15minute drive from everywhere you would want to go.
Lovely pods. Quite compact for two parents and a child, but it had everything you needed in it. Location was quite hidden away but at the same time very central and easy to get to Kirkwall and Stromness. Our host was also very helpful when we thought our ferry off the island was going to be cancelled (it wasn't in the end...)
Pretty much everything, and the owner is super nice. The welcome scones, butter and jam were life saving! Newly decorated, highly functional, comfortable, quiet location, bus stop nearby, just perfect!
The hosts were beyond lovely. Great communication and genuine kindness shown.
The property itself is in a great location - off the main road, but close to everything. A fab place to stay which is family-friendly.
Really nice, clean, modern and affordable apartment, fully equipped for a self-catering holiday. Very tranquil location with a bird hide nearby, and views towards the sea and occasionally farm animals as well. Since it's in a central location in the West Mainland of Orkney also means lot of the local sights, like the Ring of Brodgar, Maeshove, Skara Brae as well as Kirkwall is only a short drive.
Location beautiful, goats and donkeys for the kids to see in the adjoining fields. Met the owner who was very friendly and allowed me to use the field below the property.
Fantastic accommodation. Very comfortable with everything needed for a family stay. Also outside table with privacy to eat. Location very central to tour the island. Highly recommended to anyone looking to visit Orkney at any time of year.
