Gorgeous and sumptuous room, with everything of the highest standard. Every afternoon we received a knock at the door with home made cookies and milk for my granddaughter. All the staff (especially reception and room service) were professional, very helpful and friendly.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Large family room perfect for family with one double bed and one double sofa bed. Close location for Edinburgh. Very clean with modern decoration. Handy having the pub restaurant next to it but a bit expensive. We went to Dobbies for breakfast.
A traditional B&B with wonderful hosts and comfortable rooms. The family room was very big and a bonus that it opened up onto the lovely large garden. The Dalkeith Country park, restaurants and shops within walking distance. A great place for families and a bus stop outside of your wanted to head into the city centre. Would highly recommend a stay at Rathan House.
