The Cavendish Five Bells, hotel in Clare

Featuring a garden, shared lounge, bar and free WiFi, The Cavendish Five Bells is located in Cavendish, 18 km from Hedingham Castle and 25 km from Ickworth House.

Charming rural village location on the green with village shop opposite. Breakfast basket with juice, porridge etc suited my early start. Lovely spacious/easy access shower. Liked being able to park the car directly outside the room. Staff really helpful - no food at the 5 bells but neighbouring pub served food.

The George & Dragon Hotel, hotel in Clare

Situated in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis.

The main sleeping area in the family room (Room 10) was spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff were very apologetic and helpful when we had to complain. The management staff were polite and welcoming.

The facilities were great and we made use of the additional firepit package, which the children enjoyed. The yurt was comfortable and close to the camp kitchen and toilet facilities. The lake had loads of ducks and geese and the guinea pigs at the top were a winner too. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and check in/out was easy. Great spot to explore Sussex/Suffolk and even Norfolk from and so reasonably priced for us as a large family. We'll definitely stay again. Thank you!

We had a great family time at Moat Lake and would thoroughly recomend it to friends. Our daughter loved feeding fishes, ducks and other animals. She never saw deers outside of a zoo and we had a whole family nearby. There was all we needed to have a great time there.
