As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The room was lovely and clean with great space for the whole family. We had a great nights sleep and found the beds to be very comfortable. Our toddler was super excited about our night away and enjoyed the novelty of having breakfast in our room in the morning! The facilities in the room were good with everything we needed for a lovely relaxed breakfast in the morning. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the water was nice and hot!
Gorgeous hotel and very unique. Really friendly and helpful staff. We had to check out early due to family function but staff still put together a "breakfast to go" for all 6 of us. Bedroom facilities were excellent and extremely comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again
+ we had a lovely holiday as a family
+ setting - absolutely beautiful, surrounded by fields of flowers and frolicking lambs and next to a National Trust house.
+ we were upgraded to the main house which meant we had access to baby monitors during dinner.
+ generally child-friendly
+ nice to have access to the pool
+ had a great massage in the spa
Very family and dog friendly. So many activities for my 2 year old and great that there are things she can do while we eat. Rooms thoughtfully have things for baby changing and lots of cutlery and good menu choices for kids. Great to be able to dine with the dog too!
Beautiful building, good food, excellent service from the staff, plenty of convenient parking. The hotel is marketed as a family hotel and there were many families staying there, however, after three stays as a business traveller I would recommend the Ickworth for business as well as family travel.
This was a bit of a revelation. Stunning grounds, fantastic food and lovely room. Would like to come back when I am not working. The staff were all very friendly and although I was not with children the family friendly nature of the hotel was evident.
Breakfast included in price and very good variety and quality.
