So cosy in the pod, and such a lovely quiet area overlooking the countryside. The size of the pod was large enough for us both. All facilities inside are practically brand new. The hot tub outside was clean and amazing.

The Salt house, hotel in Brora

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights this past weekend and it exceeded our expectations. The host was so lovely from the moment we checked in to the second we left! It is a beautifully refurbished hotel, and the attention to detail is amazing! We stayed in room 2, and it was perfect. A lovely comfy bed and an en-suite was perfect for our stay. We were leaving before breakfast was served on Sunday morning but that was not a problem for the host who made us both up a takeaway breakfast bag which included a yogurt, banana, granola bar and an orange juice each which was thoroughly enjoyed. We were then served an excellent breakfast on the Monday morning before checking out. I had the poached egg and avocado on toast & my boyfriend had sausages on a roll. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and stay overall, and will definitely return to this hotel in the future. Nothing was too much trouble! Can not recommend it enough!

An absolutely beautiful hostel, really well thought out and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and a quiet location, a great night's sleep. The owners were really friendly. The building has an interesting history as the former school gymhall and is now a really modern but cosy hostel. Ideal for cycle touring, there's a bike shed out back.

Set in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning views, this little house had everything we needed. We were a group of 4 adults but if you brought children then they certainly wouldn’t be bored - so many games and toys upstairs. Also hundreds of DVDs for a cosy night in front of the TV We only stayed one night, but I would have loved to stay longer - it was so homely and relaxing.

Opulence in a land of sheep and cows! We met a family of locals in the bar area who gave us some many suggestions of places to go that aren’t documented in any NC500 books! The food was superb and the breakfast was perfect! Very helpful staff and a warm and gracious welcome.

Exceptional level of hospitality, from general managers to all the staff. The atmosphere they created is so warming and cosy, almost home-like. Dog friendly, to the point that our dog is almost became a part of hotel family. Room was very spacious and comfortable, massive bed where we slept very well . Great place to stay, even outside the golfing season , as there are so many great walks: along the coast, or towards the loch, or up the the hills and waterfalls. We stayed for Christmas and it was amazing.

Absolutely loved the pod as a family. Spotlessly clean and the included shower and toilet, no long walks in the middle of the night. All pods are spaced out so privacy is assured and sitting out on the porch after dark you can listen to the deer calls, owls etc. Sauna is available too and fantastic for aiding in a relaxing break away. We will 100% be back to stay, great value for money.

The location is amazing. Only 5 mins from the beach. The cottage is isolated so you get a private stay and lovely views to the ocean. Has fibre internet and the speed is really good. Brora town is only 5 mins drive and you are 5-10 mins from some of the main tourist attractions including Dunrobin castle. Colin and his family have been excellent specially in terms of communication.
