Blackwell House is an exceptional establishment. The hosts Adele and Alessio are warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We were upgraded on our arrival, what a treat that was! However I expect all rooms are equally magical.
The Loft is a very special space with a large terrace which looks out over the countryside. The hot tub on the terrace was real bonus feature.
Breakfast the next morning was five star, beautifully presented high quality produce. We will definitely be returning to Blackwell House, it is possibly the nicest place I have ever stayed.

The owner Jim is a very friendly and welcoming, he constantly checks up to see if we were happy with our stay, always making us laugh and taking time to come and chat with us. The whole place is very clean and up to a high standard assisting us when needed, the cleaner hillary and her helper showed us where certain things are without us even asking, I've never stayed in such a warm welcoming bnb in my life and ill defiantly come back here again and recommend this place to stay to anyone, Jim, Hillary and your helper tha k you very much we've made friends for life !! fantastic property and a great host, really interesting place with beautiful gardens
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. We loved every minute of our stay at Blackwell House, feeling warmly welcomed by Adele, Alessio and their family. The food was exceptional, skilfully prepared by Adele and carefully served by Alessio. We also thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful garden and the peaceful surroundings. We highly recommend visiting Blackwell House and will certainly come back.

The hotel is set in very nice surrounding with trees and lots of foliage. The beds were comfortable and large. There was a mix-up with our booking so instead of a family room we had two double rooms. A pleasant upgrade for our teenagers. The food was very good especially on the second evening when they provided fed our extended family of 19 people. The bar was cozy.
This hotel was like staying with family. They couldn't do enough to ensure that my daughter and I had the best stay. Great location for Game of Thrones studio and a very short walk into the nearby town. The food was superb, and the service was excellent. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

Anne was excellent, went out of her way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. My husband does not eat pork soo Anne cooked us eggs and mushrooms and got special bread for him - much appreciated!
