Belmont House Hotel, hotel in Banbridge

Situated in Banbridge, 40 km from The Belfast Empire Music Hall, Belmont House Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Our room was beautiful and bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but well appointed (however water pressure was bad). Staff in the hotel were friendly and obliging. We had breakfast one morning in the beautiful dining room and dinner one evening in the bar. Food was lovely on both occasions. Excellent location! We were visiting The Game of Thrones Studio Tour and the hotel is a 6 minute drive from the Studio Tour pick up location which is in The Boulevard Outlet Mall. Banbridge town was possibly the cleanest town we have ever seen! We really enjoyed our stay.

The owner Jim is a very friendly and welcoming, he constantly checks up to see if we were happy with our stay, always making us laugh and taking time to come and chat with us. The whole place is very clean and up to a high standard assisting us when needed, the cleaner hillary and her helper showed us where certain things are without us even asking, I've never stayed in such a warm welcoming bnb in my life and ill defiantly come back here again and recommend this place to stay to anyone, Jim, Hillary and your helper tha k you very much we've made friends for life !! A beautiful town, possibly the cleanest town I have ever visited! Lots of lovely furniture shops in the town to stroll around, lovely cafes (and hairdressers!). We went to Harrys Bar to watch a Rugby game and from the minute we walked in the door we got a lovely welcome by the staff. We were seated in the restaurant at the back of the bar and had absolutely gorgeous food and then moved to the bar for the game and some live music later! Every person we met was warm and welcoming and we strolled back to our hotel full and happy! Will definitely visit again!

There is a number of great places to eat in Banbridge. My 3 favorites are Safari Grill, Downshire Hotel and Blend and Batch. There is a big outlet shopping mall and plenty of other big named brand shops both in the town and up at the mall.

The Bannside Riverside Walk and Solitude Park are not to be missed if in the area. My ancestors lived and worked in the area and I was able readily access the relevant historic churches, graveyards etc with no time constraints. Beautiful town and surrounding areas that make you realise it was other things that meant the people left. The beauty of this peaceful place belies the social history.
