This was hands down the nicest place I have ever stayed. We only had one night but the scenery was breathtaking, you really are right on the Loch with mountains around and a tiny beach. The room was stunning, spotlessly clean and comfortable with an amazing shower. We had Room 2, which also corresponded to the best table in the restaurant. The food was worthy of a Michelin star, Yas made his own pastrami, smoked salmon, and beef brisket which all melted in the mouth. They mentioned selling it online, and I’ll be first in line! The breakfast was amazing, plenty to have and the service was so warm and friendly, very personal. Just a really, really special place.
Situated in a scenic wooded garden, Thistle House Guest House overlooks Loch Fyne to Inveraray and its famous castle.

The location is stunning, beautiful garden and views, so tranquil. The hosts Sue and Avril are excellent and so welcoming, the breakfasts are delicious with lots of choices. The rooms are warm, very comfy and there is a beautiful lounge to relax in with a cuppa or glass of wine.

The room was clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs which was also very nice.

The room was clean, tidy and the bed a good size. It was quiet, peaceful and the view out to the top of the loch was pleasant. Staff were very welcoming.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Excellent location, nice property, and very well maintained. Chris is such a wonderful owner.
We spent three nights there. The children loved the house. We spent amazing time. I really recommend this place for families with children, who would like to spend a nice holiday near Loch Lomond.
The location is very good to explore the highlands, besides having nice pubs nearby.
The property was in an amazing location, the views are amazing to wake up too. Will definitely return. Definitely family friendly we went as a family of 4, one being a toddler and one a newborn. Dog friendly and also a nice safe garden!
The games room was a winner for our family, kids absolutely loved it. Karaoke was a hit for the adults. Gorgeous property with stunning views. Would definitely book to stay here again.
Great location & views. Very spacious & comfortable. Good parking for 3/4 cars. Wifi great. Cinema room with pool table fantastic, lots of board games to play with the family.
Hosts were very accommodating (Lee & Kerrie) We needed calpol for one of the kids and was Boxing Day places were closed nearby. Lee got in touch with friends in the Arrochar area. Couldnt thank him more. Any time we needed to phone for anything they answered right away.
Will be booking again next year
Brilliantly located to continue round the loch to other surrounding areas whichever way you needed to travel. Breakfast was of a good standard, providing continental and a cooked breakfast of choice. Entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night was good to have and the pool table in reception was great for the kids. Family room with bunk beds was quite small but cosy.
The view and the fact it was nice and relaxed,
Checking out time was not too early and you could get up leasurely. They accepted our son in the bar until 10pm playing cards with us. Very family friendly.
The house, the rooms, the upstairs function/activities room, the garden - all brilliant! Secure parking, excellent facilities. Couldn't have asked for more to get the first night of our trip off to a flyer. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and welcoming too. Excellent for a weekend, week or longer - be it big groups of family/friends. Lee, one of the owners, was super friendly and helpful too. Couldn't have asked for more.
