Very smart hotel. The hotel has been renovated to a high standard but retains original features such as it's wide sweeping staircase.
We had a lovely room, beautifully decorated and again, retaining original features. It wasn't a big room but the bed was big and so comfortable. Just enough storage space with the wardrobe and shelves. Excellent quality bedding and towels. The bathroom was lovely and spacious with plenty of storage for toiletries.
An added bonus was a kettle and tea/coffee!!
There is plenty of secure parking in the hotel grounds.
Plenty of shops and eateries nearby.

Hotel du Parc is located in the famous spa town of Le Mont Dore in the Parc Naturel des Volcans d’Auvergne 500 metres from the thermal centre and 4 km from the nearest ski lift.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Everything from the mountain woodland setting to the excellent modern appliances to the spacious washrooms to the beautiful nearby waterfall was superb. There is a petting farm on site - donkeys, llamas etc - that children will love.
This is one of my favourite hotels where we've stayed several times over the years, Our 'Queen Room' had a separate sitting room and a view of the very comfortable garden. Breakfast is best described as magnificent and the staff are always keen to oblige.
There was a problem with the heating the first night so the bedroom was cold. There was also no heating in the bathroom, just a small fan that didn't seem to function so the room was cold and nowhere to dry the towels.There was also no hot water the first night and no wifi connection in the rooms for the whole stay.
First time I’ve ever had to make my own bed in a hotel! Booked two doubles next to each other got a double on one floor and a bunk house on another! Floors are painted in gloss grey very slippery when wet especially on the stairs, be very careful, Towels are just ridiculously to small you could not dry a child properly, breakfast was ok but Fresh orange juice was watered down and very un palatable
Very nice, big and cosy place. Perfectly suited for families as the two main rooms are separated with two doors.
