Lovely, gently rural place to stay with wonderful, friendly hosts. Close enough to Lille and Ypres to make a really nice base for exploring. Supermarket 5 minutes away. Children really appreciated the pingpong table and forest walks, plus the kittens, goats and Maya the dog were extra bonuses.

Home Appart is an ideal location in Northern France from which to make various excursions, including Arras and Lille. Armentières itself also has a beautiful Belfry not far from Home Appart. Although this accommodation is located on the main street of the municipality, you will not be bothered by heavy traffic. However, nearby bakeries and other shops ensure that you do not have to use the car. There is also a playground 200 meters away in a quiet residential area. As we were travelling with different families, we needed two flats, but they were only a few house numbers apart. Both apartments have been very recently renovated and offer a lot of space and comfort, including a spacious refrigerator with large freezer compartment, plenty of equipment for cooking and eating and each with an outdoor terrace. The bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, living areas and terraces were neatly maintained and radiated reliability. Moreover, we were very kindly received by the friendly Patrizia who, in addition to all practical accommodation information, also provided some travel tips for public transport and offered a free baby cot for the smallest of our group. In short, a great location to enjoy a carefree weekend or longer in 'le département du Nord'.

The welcome was great. All in French so not a problem for us. We were allowed 'private' parking. The room was spacious and comfortable. Mein host suggested a great restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. The breakfast was exceptional.

Great location in the town and the apartment worked perfectly for the family. Parking was free just a short distance away and the train service into Lille was good. There is a nice view over the square and the market on Saturday morning was fantastic for food and many other things. We combined our trip of watching rugby in Lille with battlefield visits and the impromptu tour of the museum below the apartment by Stephanie was a real bonus.
