We had hoped to take a bus into Granada to avoid driving in but unfortunately the hotel was not quite as convenient for Granada as we had hoped. Buses were unpredictable and few and far between. We ended up having to drive in anyway but it was fairly easy and parking was OK. The owner gave us good instructions about which car park to aim for ( sorry I have forgotten which one now). I didn't meet the owner and so our comms were via text in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish so had to do quite a lot of Google translate. It worked OK.
There is a communal kitchen and sitting area downstairs if you want to take and cook your own food. We didn't. We ate in Granada and also used a local restaurant in Zubia once - not terribly close and uphill - not easy for us to walk, so we drove. The restaurant was recommended by the hotel owner and it was OK.
This was not the best experience but it wasn't the worst either. Value for money is the best way I can describe it. We had some awful issues with ridiculously loud banging from the heating ( twice) in the evenings but the owner responded immediately and was very apologetic - presumably this was repaired after we left.
