Travel back to the Medieval age when you stay in this theatrical hotel – designed as a castle it has plenty of character with all the comfort of modern luxuries and attractive gardens.

Feel like the king of your very own castle in the impressive surroundings of the Castillo Bonavia. Admire the building’s exterior which boasts fortress-style turrets and even an authentic drawbridge to cross when you go through the main entrance. Inside, enjoy elegant wooden floors under high, arched ceilings and impressive banquet halls.

Evening meal was excellent, the menu allowed for all tastes from the heavy hitter meat eaters to the vegetarians. Breakfast was also excellent with a good selection. The room was comfortable and the general ambience of the hotel, with charming decor and great character, added to a very comfortable stay. All the staff were most pleasant, helpful and courteous. I was travelling with an L3 H3 Van and I was very pleased to find a safe area to park it. This was a perfect stopover for anyone headed north from the Costa Blanca, in particular to the ferry in Santander or Bilbao.

The location was convenient ... although my sat nav took me to a place on an industrial area a few kms away. When I phoned the hotel to get help I discovered that they don't speak English. The evening food was good .... and the room clean .... so some positives

Simply amazing! Took my grandsons back to their favourite place in the world. Last year the receptionist declared them to be knights and they were thrilled to be returning. Wonderful welcome. Great dinner and fabulous wines. Booked the deluxe suite so they could sleep in ‘the kings bed’ - bed was huge so Daddy slept in with them and grandparents swapped for the family room. They really enjoyed the pool too.

we were travelling with young grandsons who were so excited to be staying in a castle. A Spanish friend of ours kindly contacted the hotel to explain. When we checked in they were ‘recognised’ as Knights and awarded cloaks (which may have been hidden in Grandma’s handbag) and also fabulous scrolls made by the castle to welcome them. all the staff greeted them as knights they were ecstatic! children’s menu was great and family room just perfect.
