I couldn't imagine how bad it was!!! The rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the toilet is on the 1st. The bed is wet. There is no air conditioning. For breakfast, cook your own eggs. Staff - a bot in the messenger issues an access code. There are insects in the room. There is a normal hotel 25 km away and it costs less and is incomparably better.
The archaeological site of Atapuerca is about 30 minutes' drive from this rural hotel in Vivar del Cid. This is also the starting point of the Camino del Cid hiking trail. Free WiFi is provided.

The location was easy to reach by car. The parking is safe. The room was specious and looked like 1980s. Everything was fully functional. Perfect for one night on a trip from Portugal to Sweden.
The kindness of all the staff. The huge pool with activities for kids...slides, spray fountains. The charming city of Burgos only 20 minutes away. The kids loved being able to swim in the pool after a hot day in Burgos.
The restaurant was excellent, very good hamburgers, homemade fries, steaks, eggs and salad.
Our room had a great big balcony surrounded by beautiful flowers. The place itself (hotel/bar/restaurant) has a lovely genuine feel to it, and the staff (a family) is english speaking and very helpful. No problem bringing our dog.
The pool area is clean, fun and creatively built. It’s like different rooms in there.
The whole place has a rustic charm and all the birdsong makes it even better.
