Yolanda and her team went out of their way to make my stay as welcome as possible. The building is well maintained and very attractive surrounded by fields and a short walk to town. Breakfast was plentiful as well is the parking. I will be back at some point!

Santo Domingo de Silos is set in a cobbled street opposite the Santo Domingo de Silos Monastery. It offers a bar-café and restaurant, 24-hour reception and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The Mudéjar restaurant specializes in grilled meats, including suckling pig, lamb and kid. As well as the café, there are 3 private dining rooms for events and conventions.

The hotel is in a very small Spanish town. We were able to drive up to the hotel, take our luggage out of the car, and then go back to the entrance of the town and park in the parking lot (free) overnight. From the parking lot it is about a three minute walk to the hotel. The best thing about the hotel was that their kitchen opened for dinner (at 8:15 pm). We tried a few other places in town (online said they were open) but they were not open. We had lamb and it was great. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds fine, head pillows hard. Breakfast was basic (and cost $7 per person); pastries, juice, coffee, yogurt, toast. Great place to stay, would recommend!

I visited the nearby Sad Hill Cemetery. My Spanish is non-existent, but the friendly woman at reception managed fine.
