I was here for two nights when traveling solo to the area with my motorbike. The hotel is in a big Bavarian-style building, modernized in the interior with all comforts, but retaining the traditional aura you may be looking for when visiting this lovely region. The staff is nice and welcoming. Very comfortable big single room, with sitting area, working table, tv, serious wardrobe, very large single bed, large bathroom with heater also in the warm season (ideal when traveling by motorbike in the rain...), stylish wooden furniture and with all conveniences. Modern elevator to get upstairs. Very nice spa, with sauna, steam bath, silent room and outside thermal pool (heated). Fantastic location, isolated in nature, secluded yet very easy to reach through a dedicated access road, with a gorgeous panorama! Good food in the evening, and very rich and high quality breakfast. I would say, a perfect stay, apart from the horrible weather :) I will definitely consider staying here again, if I will come to the area another time.

The place is really peaceful, nice getaway. It is away from the main town but not too far from it, about 5, less than 10 minutes drive. At the back of the building is a huge meadow that leads to a walking trail. It was covered with snow when we went, perfect to go for a short hike or play in the snow. There are a few small ski resorts nearby, ideal for beginners and kids.

Currently writing this while lying in my bathrobe in an oversized bed in a posh place and i wish i was back at Obersteinberghof. Whether it is the view, the cozy ‘home away from home’ feel, or the genuineness and simplicity of the host and the place - i cannot pinpoint. However, it has been the highlight of our trip!
