I travel a lot for work and this is an excellent place: incredibly well furnished at a high standard, immaculately clean and very central, but quiet. I absolutely appreciated that the proprietors had left tea, coffee etc for the first day, so that one does not have to rush to a supermarket after a long journey (although there is one just over the little brook). Some real thought has gone into the place. The landlord/landlady are very nice and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at Kissinger and I am not surprised that they are already booked for the next time we come to Detmold.

I got a call from the owner who checked with us estimated time of arrival. He met us personally, showed everything around. It was super nice of him to light up the furnace in agreed time so once we got back later in the evening the premise was well heated and warm. The place is quiet and nothing disturbs your sleep.
