The small town and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel is popular with locals and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The owners Patricia and Soren and their staff are very welcoming. The location of the town is very good with raill & bus links to almost anywhere. Swiss rail lived up fully to its reputation. A Cable car is situated 200m from hotel and reaches the 1900m at the top of Stanserhorn in minutes. Recommend purchasing a "Tell Pass"

It was very easy to check in and out. We arrived out of hours, and had been provided with a code to enter the lobby. There we found a self service machine where we popped in our details and it gave us the key and room number. Very easy, we ended up using it to check out too

The manager and his wife were wonderful! We ended up eating every mean overlooking the beautiful Lake Lucerne. We got to know the waiters and they were so kind. We went for a day into Lucerne, and the manager recommended the best restaurant, Brasserie Bodu which we have since passed on to friends visiting Lucerne. It is an amazing hotel with an unforgettable vibe. Everything around is so beautiful: mountains, lawns, the lake, even buildings look great.
The spa is spacious, well equipped, with different rooms and pools, including outside pool with a hot water.
There are a bunch of restaurants and bars on the side with delicious dishes and drinks.
We had a hike every day and the trails were spectacular.

Great boutique hotel! comfortable and stylish and in a really nice area. great restaurant with beautiful garden seating just down the road, funicular/cable car to amazing view point across the street and yummy breakfast.
It was great to have communal space for my family, along with a balcony. We were able to find space to relax together or be apart, which was great after 2 weeks of hotel living. We were grateful for the fridge and freezer, we could eat at home and on our own time. We also enjoyed listening to the cow bells while relaxing on the balcony!
