I just got back from a winter trip to Algonquin Provincial Park. The Lakewood Cottage is super close to the park west entrance. I stayed in the studio unit, which's small, but it had everything I needed. The unit was super clean, well-equipped, and the staff was nothing but attentive and kind.

The location is superb: close to Algonquin park, on a beautiful lake, and away from the 'busy' highway. It felt very safe and peaceful. The cabin was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. We were also offered access to kayaks, pedalos and paddle boards, which we gave a try and thoroughly enjoyed. We were there off-peak so no kids around. But there were plenty of games and activities for children too.

Small, very nice, family-run holiday home, a bit older but very well maintained with everything you need for a stay. The beautiful lake with a small beach belonging to the holiday complex is just across the traffic-calmed street with loungers, canoes, SUP, ball games, sunbathing area, etc. It is not far to Algonquin National Park, making it an ideal starting point for a visit to the park. You should already stock up on groceries on the way there. We were very satisfied.
