My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here in early October. Steve was very welcoming and friendly! We loved our cabin, super comfortable and in the middle of nature. We loved kayaking in the nearby lake and having our own bonfire at night. Short drive to east gate of Algonquin where we spent a couple of days. We didn't use the main lounge facilities a lot but I can see how fun it must be during winter. I'd definitely come back!

The area is beautiful but I would advise to choose from the many alternatives in the area. This Lodge is not functionally open, although the owner will happily take your money.

My friends and I had a fantastic week at Madawaska Lodge. The highlights of the stay for us included the exceptional service provided by Mike the owner (who took time to show us around and make us feel comfortable), the trails and local lake which is accessible from Madawaska Lodge, and the proximity to Algonquin Provincial Park. Our lodge was also spacious and the kitchen had everything you could need in it. Space continued in the communal living area where you could play pool, watch movies etc. - great fun!

We stayed for 9 days over Christmas. It is a great location for exploring Algonquin PP. Very clean and lacked for nothing. We roasted a chicken with all the trimmings for Christmas Day, made mince pies and pizza later in the stay. Cozy and warm in the low night temperatures. A little small for 4 people but fine for 3 adults who spend a lot of time outdoors. Probably not great in the winter for very young kids or if you want to watch a lot of TV!

Owners are fantastic. Cottage was amazing View is stunning Everyone has there own little swimming area which was great. Water is clear no weeds to step on or rocks. Docks to run and dive off. Property has a beautiful view all the way around. Kayak rentals etc were perfect to get out and explore the waterways. First visit here was exceptional by far met standards all over.. Kids had so much fun. Now booked again for September with no kids cant wait to come back.
