The Alert Bay Lodge was charming, comfortable and hospitable. Very unique setting, with a warm welcome from the hosts. Good location, easy walk into "town". The community is great, lots to see and do. Fascinating history. Marvelous must-see: the U'mista Cultural Centre. Whales, dolphins and otters passing by the front of the Lodge every day!

Very quite setting with ocean views. Small deck and cozy gas fireplace gave this cottage a warm and appealing vibe. The shower was amazing!
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The location was perfect, the view was beyond amazing, the kitchen had everything we needed, everything worked well, and there was plenty of room for our family. Also, the price was right!
The staff, Pemba, was so helpful, fun and interesting. Continental breakfast was good and sunny, covered breakfast room was lovely with a view. Room was a very comfortable and clean.
The kids loved the large spacious apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy a meal together. Everyone had lots of space and and an area to spend time together.
We had a lovely stay in Alert Bay at the Orca Inn with our extended family including the ever
so silent children :) A lovely little Inn with nooks and books and a fantastic view of the sea.
A whale and porpoises obliged us with frolicking right in front of our lounge window!
