Sun Creek Lodge, hotel in Punta Gorda

Featuring free WiFi, a barbecue and a terrace, Sun Creek Lodge offers accommodation just 6km from Punta Gorda Town. Guests can enjoy the lush garden.

Wonderful stay at sun creek - we wanted something simple in the jungle and this place was better than expected. The whole garden was beautiful and the rooms great. Loved the outside bathroom! We were there in august and worried a little about the heat as there is no AC but with the standing fan it was just fine. I'd seen reviews talking about dog and traffic noise, but we weren't disturbed by anything and slept well. It's a hut in the jungle so yes there were some bugs but that's normal. We fell asleep watching a gecko scuttle across the ceiling eating mosquitos and moths, comfy under the mosquito net. The couple who run the hotel are lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Would come back if we're ever in the area again!

The situation and layout of the cabanas in the jungle ‘garden’, the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff, owners and family; the food and general ambience of the wonderful place. The nighttime jungle trek was superb; plus the outside bathrooms are delightful.

I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s so peaceful and the jungle setting is gorgeous. The family who run it are all so kind and great at suggesting activities to do in the local area. I spent a lot of my time in the hammocks just enjoying the environment and listening to the jungle sounds. A very special part of my trip. Thank you ☺️

The location was ideal for visiting all the nearby Mayan sites, caves, waterfalls and hiking trails. The facility was very well maintained and having morning breakfast was very convenient and the option of having a dinner offered was great. Thomas the owner and his family did an amazing job of providing for all my needs to the things I wanted to see and visit.

Good location close to sea front and Main Street. easy to get to dock for Ferry to Guatemala. lovely terraces to sit on but sadly cafe/restaurant not open kayaks and bikes for guests to use leela’s restaurant close by and really interesting as Franz tells you about his mother who sang brukdown, has an MBE and a state funeral. wi Fii food on the corner has a lovely setting and friendly people cafe something new and something old does a great breakfast.
