The Eco Resort O Forte at Mangue Seco, Bahia, is a jewel right inside the mangrove environment. It is in a beautiful isolated location where you can appreciate the large changes of the tides from your chaise-long by the pool. The fauna around the resort is abundant and many different birds are all around. The isolation helps the guests to feel in synchronicity with nature. The hotel is not sophisticated but it attends all needs with a friendly and attentive staff and the owner on hand to help most of the time. The restaurant is a very positive surprise with very good and varied dishes on offer all day and till late night. The boat excursion is fantastic and we got to visit isolated sand islands in the middle of the junction between sea and river. I do recommend Pousada Eco Resort O Forte for those in search of preserved nature environments and comfortable accommodations.

I loved everything - the rooms were clean and well equipped. We had our own kitchen and the view from the balcony was amazing. Good breakfast and the host was helpful with good ideas for trips in the area. Quiet and in the middle of nature.
