A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw is one dull place, with very few attractions.
Warsaw is one dull place, with very few attractions. If you exclude museums, 2 full days are more than enough for sightseeing. When you finish with the Old town walk, basically that's it. It can't closely compare to Krakow or Gdansk. Not even Wroclaw.

Warsaw is amazing city!
Warsaw is amazing city! Not always beautiful with every building or corner. Not beautiful in obvious way! Yet so much history, mix of architecture, so many museums, sights of interests. Defo recommend come here for 3-4 days.

Every museum did not disappoint - I was only there 3 days wish I could have stayed longer. The Royal castle, the uprising museum and Polin, all great places to visit. Missed Wilanow- next time! I would venture out at dawn just to walk around - every block had suprises like Marie Sklodowskiej - Curie statue and fountains or the little insurgent. Bought nice local art for cheap, check the Barbicon where they set up.

It is a wonderful place to go around as a tourist.
It is a wonderful place to go around as a tourist. It is very interesting that people above 70 years of age can travel free in all modes of public transport of the city irrespective of their nationality. Just your ID with age proof is enough to show if asked for.
People are friendly. I shall surely take a short break after my business trip of Germany and Austria, to Warsaw and Poland even if I have no business matters to deal with there. Lovely place and Lovely people.

A lovely hotel with helpful staff in a great location to explore Warsaw.
We only stayed one night at the end of our week in Poland and we wished we’d stay longer. Fabulous pool view, it did get quite busy but that’s to be expected.
We had a high floor room with great views.
Breakfast was very busy but well staffed and the buffet choices were excellent, something for all nationalities and dietary preferences. It was tasty and I’d stay here again just for the breakfast.
Excellent location in the middle of Warsaw. City center with shops and many restaurants was reached by walking. Old town is only 1.7 km from the hotel and was reached by many local buses in only 6 minutes. Busstop 300 meters from the hotel and you could pay the
busticket by card in the bus. Price is very cheap, less than 1 Euro for one trip.
The hotel breakfast was excellent with many warm and cold dishes.
The apartment is really wonderful and the host is very nice! To be honest we stood at 5 Star and 4 star hotels in Poland this week, and this accomodation was by far the best. Super fast wifi, everything super clean! Flip-flops not the cheap ones from the hotels (the white ones that do not fit). Close to the mall and the airport, nice garden with flowers.
Clean room, good location (close to metro (just 3-4 stops to city center), huge shopping mall (5-7 min from hotel), cheap street parking in front of hotel (Parking in Poland is free on weekends), friendly stuff (speaks in English smoothly), welcome drink :)
