I recently had the most amazing experience at Lagoon Gate! It truly is a calm and relaxing oasis, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional level of service they provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at fairy tail. It was simply fabulous! The place and people were top-notch, and I savored every single minut. We appreciated the attention to detail. Separately, I want to say about food! it's the best thing I've tried on the island! Chefs culinary skills far exceed your expectations. All in all, a great experience. The combination of delightful dishes, calming ambiance, and friendly staff makes it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to unwind and indulge in a true culinary delight. Set in Tangalle, a few steps from Tangalle Beach, Serenity Beach Cabanas offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. It is like the paradise, very nice, calm place with private beach access and nice food. The staff was very nice and helpful also. I highly recommend this place, the most beautiful I have seen in Sri Lanka. The monkeys are coming to the garden sometimes and play. If you are there, please give some food the 3 dogs on the beach, the place also feeds them, they are really nice :).

Igabara Hobbit House has free bikes, garden, a shared lounge and restaurant in Tangalle. This 4-star hotel offers room service and babysitting service. This place is simply amazing. It has very unique entrance, garden full of plants and palms and these great bungalows. Hirushan told us that he made this all by himself and with a help of his friends. Houses are adorable. One to never wish to leave them. Very cosy, private and clean. We loved the food from Hirushans mom. I highly recommend everyone that will stay there to eat in Igabara instead of a restaurant. The food is prepared by his mom and it is very delicious. She deserves a Michelin star!!! We would go million more times! Thank you Hirushan!

Hidden Garden is a paradise! 2 mins from the beach with a lagoon in your backyard and free kayaks, we couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms are huge and comfy and clean. The breakfast is amazing and the owners are so epic. We loved our kayak to see the birds and we could’ve stayed forever! Don’t think about it - just book!

We loved everything. Such an relaxing place right in front of the ocean. This villa is a top 10, i would recomend it to everyone!

OMIA RESORT is located right on the water at rekawa beach. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an Beach side pool and Bar. We enjoyed our stay in Omia, best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks vacation. The bungalow was big enough for two people, very nice interior design. What I personally noticed and liked is that the bungalow has those little things you might need when on vacation - a mosquito repellent diffuser, a broom, a bottle of filtered water, additional pillows, a torch etc. Another advantage is remoteness of this hotel from parties and loud places. Omia is the right choice for you if you wanna relax. The team and the owner were extremely friendly, found us a bike, helped us finding the souvenirs, the right beaches, cafes.

Immaculate rooms, incredible food and nature all around. Priyanthi and her small team of ladies looked after us so well during our stay that we were genuinely sad to leave. Their cooking was the best we have ever experienced and we loved the breakfast especially! We stayed in a large, brand new room that was HUGE and would be perfect for families, it was spotless like the other rooms and had a lovely view of the garden. Their kindness was so beautiful and Priyanthi helped us to organise a trip to see the turtles lay eggs and a lagoon kayak experience- both were really great and I would recommend to other travellers. Priyanthi’s place was like being on safari where every day we saw monkeys, water buffalo, amazing birds and wildlife just from the balcony! The walk to the beach is so beautiful where you can immerse yourself in nature. It is a very special place here, Priyanthi and her team work so hard to keep it this way and genuinely care about you and the environment. Thank you for everything, we can’t wait to return!

The fantastic balcony views, being so close to the crashing waves, right at a wild beach, the friendly staff, morning swims in the pool..... - I loved my stay here (last not least because I scored a good low season rate).
