Featuring a spa centre and hot spring bath, Kazaguruma (Kazeya Group) Nakao Hotel is located in Takayama. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The room was super spacious. Check-in process was smooth as well. As I was checking in late, the staff kept prompting me via chat to inform me of the check-in process. The attention to detail was just superb. Furthermore, the staff were super friendly and the accommodations were clean. The provisioned breakfast was really a nice touch too. Would definitely come back again!!

Loved the trip. Food was amazing. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the ropeway but you’ll need to let them know early

Hotel is located 2 min walk from the bus stop to Kamikochi, it is very spacious, there are washing machines available, small onsen in the property, plus access to very big onsen 5 minutes away.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Nestled between untouched nature in the tranquil Northern Alps area, Hidaji offers spacious Japanese-style accommodation with traditional architecture. This place was so magical. All onsen fantastic. Place is super cozy, and the bedroom is really cool. The room had so many technical things that was super convenient and really well thought out. The surrounding in the mountains is so nice and private. Food was excellent and very unique. Loved everything of this place.

Situated in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama, 29 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, Yunohirakan boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. Amazing service and amazing meals!! For such a good price I did not expect to get so much food for dinner and experience such a nice, clean well-kept ryokan. There are 3 private onsens which are very easy to reserve. Very spacious onsens and was great for my partner and I who have tattoos. The host was also very friendly and made a lot of effort to converse with us and my limited Japanese. I really enjoyed my stay here and would love to go back!

Offering free flowing spring water from two different hot springs and ski storage space, Oyado Eitaro is set in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama. Free private parking is available on site. There was a lot to like about Oyado Eitaro. The location is very convenient - only a five (maybe less) minute walk from the bus center. We dropped off our luggage before checking in and later found the bags in our room. The dinner was a wonderful experience and was probably some of the best food we had on our trip. It was a great way to try many different dishes, all of them well prepared. Breakfast was a similar experience. Both the public and private onsens were very relaxing and very clean. Overall an amazing experience. If we ever come back to the area, we’ll be looking to rebook Oyado Eitaro.

Set amid a beautiful landscape in Okuhida Onsengo hot-spring area, Yamazatonoiori Soene offers beautiful rooms in a Japanese style with river or garden views. Rustic feels which transported us back in time. The staff were friendly and explained everything well. There are several locations for the onsens, and we enjoyed the ones next to the river best. Food was good generally, and we sat round the fire. The rooms were on the warm side.

Located in the Okuhida Fukuji hot-spring area, Furusato offers accommodations with tatami (woven-straw) floors. Guests can enjoy the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Amazing food and super friendly and helpful staff. The room sizes were huge as well which was a welcom change from what we had been experiencing so far in Japan.
