The Hava Ubud is truly exceptional. It’s brand new with lovely facilities, kind staff and a beautiful calm ambience. The spa was also excellent. We particularly enjoyed a cooking class they arranged for us on site with one of the restaurant chefs. It was great fun and well set up. Possibly favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and very reasonably priced. The Balinese and Indonesian style breakfasts were also very good (we preferred these to their western breakfasts).

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. From room service to out of the ordinary requests and even planning our activities the staff did everything they could to help. We had a great time. In short, it lives up to every expectation from the pictures and description.

Nestled in tropical Balinese gardens, Taman Rahasia Tropical Sanctuary and Spa boasts a tranquil accommodation. Each air-conditioned room features a private terrace overlooking the greenery. The rooms are beautifully designed - Balinese style, roomy, comfortable, private indoor/outdoor living. All the staff and owners are so genuinely friendly, helpful and professional - just excellent, going above and beyond. The room was meticulously cleaned each day. The pool is lovely and I mostly had this to myself in the afternoons. The breakfast is great - I tried a few options - the eggs, the oatmeal & granola, fresh fruit - all perfectly cooked and presented. The location is quietly tucked away but still 5 mins walk to many great cafes and restaurants and a short taxi or scooter ride to town. The back gate opens to the rice fields and I enjoyed long walks here early in the mornings - a highlight and a real local experience. I was on a solo retreat kind of stay and it was a great place for this. I highly recommend the Balinese massage in the spa.

Situated in Ubud, 1.9 km from Blanco Museum, Gunung An Retreat features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Wonderful location, beautiful environment and nice vibes. You would need a scooter to go to Ubud city-center. The rooms are huge, clean and extravagant. The only thing i dislike was the grumpy dog. I would still definitely come back. Choose a room downstairs so the dog lets you in peace, for his sleeping place is upstairs.
