Great location, there was lots of bars and restaurants within waking distance and only a 10 min drive from the old town. There are lots of pool to choose from including an adult only pool. The view from the balcony was one of the best we’ve ever had and we loved the pizzas at the On The Rocks Bar!

Royal Palm Hotel, hotel in Dubrovnik

Set 4 km from the UNESCO-protected Dubrovnik Old Town, Royal Palm Hotel is a luxury hotel featuring a wellness centre and indoor and outdoor pools.

Clean and airy room. Paid for sea view and balcony and didn’t disappoint. Staff were very friendly and all areas were kept so tidy and clean. Quiet location outside of the old town but a short bus or taxi ride for sight seeing. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the freshly made omelettes were so tasty! Gluten free selection was a little limited but there was GF bread and delicious filled GF brioche or muffins. The pool at the Palm got busy so we used the rooftop pool at the neighbouring hotel. It was clean, had the most amazing views and such friendly staff. A pleasant 15 mins walk along the boardwalk to some lovely bars and restaurants in Lapad. The most quirky cave bar is a must for lovely cocktails and sunset views.

Grand Hotel Park, hotel in Dubrovnik

Only 100 metres away from the beach, Grand Hotel Park is located in the centre of Dubrovnik's Lapad Peninsula. It has a large outdoor pool and a modern spa area with an indoor pool.

A lovely location almost next to the sea and many restaurants and a few supermarkets, an abundant breakfast we liked very much, the pool area was splendid and very clean, and it was nice to have saunas & showers in the spa premises. The cleaning ladies were always ready to help us if we missed something. It was also a very calm hotel (no party people staying there). We can warmly recommend this hotel to other travellers!

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

Dubrovnik Old Town is spectacular, but terribly overcrowded, hot, and unbelievably expensive. EUR 35 just to walk the walls of the Old Town; EUR 25 for the 4-minute cable-car ride; and restaurants and shops very overpriced (and this is after visiting Venice, where we expected things to be expensive but in the end weren't so bad). On our last day we escaped to Dubrovnik's Lapad peninsula, which was gloriously green, cool, relaxing, with great swimming and better (and cheaper) restaurants.

Dubrovnik is an ideal location just for itself but also as a base to explore neighboring Montenegro and Bosnia. The city is beautiful with it's historic sites and cobbled alleyways. Good lodging(Apartment Ana) and restaurants( The Arsenal) abound. Do the City Walls tour and wander to find the Buza bars. There will be crowds in summer but just take a deep breath and with patience it's enjoyable.

Lovely clean city. Facilities for visitors were excellent. Some lovely excursions and activities.. a walking tour is a must and also we did a sunset boat trip which was amazing. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Nice food....pricy in the old town but good quality and worth the money because of ambiance etc. In May 2024, when we were there, it was very busy but not mobbed and the weather was perfect. Tour guides described June, July and August as crazy because of the heat, the crowds and the passengers from the cruise ships which overwhelm the city. Dubrovnik has a population of about 42,000 people and more than 3 million visitors . However there are great efforts being made to maintain Dubrovnik as a 'place' and not a 'product'. I'd highly recommend a visit in the low season. Be warned....lots of steps in the old town.....I counted 130 to get from the road down to the old town main street. So bionic knees are a must!!!!

I loved going into Old Town - make sure you walk around the wall! Be warned - food and souvenirs are not that cheap, so plan accordingly. Buza Beach is also popular, as is doing a cruise. Lokrum island is popular. You can get ice-cream for 2.50 euros, so don’t get conned into spending more than that.

Nikolina is a great host, we received a warm welcome from her! And fresh juice. The bathroom is beautiful and very clean! The balcony is very nice and quiet and we have a nice view. The room is quiet enough. Also thanks to other quiet guests. The location is great, it is between the new town and the old town, easy to go anywhere. We spent 3 nights here, and it is the best option to explore Dubrovnik, if you like relaxing trip. (One day old town, one day new town, one day lokrum island.) We recommend this place 100%.

Nothing more could be added to what has already been said about the apartment: 5 star +. The inclusion of a couple of sun lounges would have been nice though as a few hours in the day were spent enjoying the superb vista. For us, the best way to Dubrovnik Old Town was via the steps on `PUT OD BOSANKE` - just across from the taxi rank at the entrance to the town. After every 2nd step there`s a 2mtr long flat part that allows you to take a breather.....or to step aside for younger ones to overtake!

One of the best small hotels I've ever been to: Magnificent sea views, great location (walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town; above Bellvue Beach), superb food, free wine/water/ev charging and some sweets in the evening, incredibly friendly & helpful staff (they even prepared a list of great restaurant options outside the hotel - well, we didn't need it, but still nice!), very attentive on children's needs. We were in room 721. This room probably has the best view in the hotel. I booked it specifically for that reason. The view was worth the nearly $600 per night. Unobstructed view of old town with beautiful sunrise and sunset lighting. The location was perfect for short walk to the east end of old town. Buffet breakfast was sumptuous. Overall service was five star. As a world-class traveler, this is one of the favorite spaces we’ve ever occupied.

Spacious, clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was good and plenty. Staff was friendly and helpful with tips to get around town. Private parking available, which is a major plus in Dubrovnik (parking in Dubrovnik is insanely expensive and can be a nightmare, as there are very few private facilities and even fewer public parking spaces). An Uber drive from the hotel to the old town will cost you 6-7€ which we found to be an excellent compromise

The location was perfect in terms of walking to and from the Old Town of Dubrovnik. We had no issue finding the hotel coming back at night and felt completely safe. It might be hard to find parking but we did not have or need one of those. The Hotel was charming with grapes growing overhead and many of the items at breakfast were homemade.
