Featuring a garden, a terrace as well as a bar, Hotel Tannenhof is located in the centre of Zermatt, 600 metres from Zermatt Railway Station. Zermatt is a place where you can get almost everywhere by walking, the hotel is 400m away from the train station and thats really good. The hotel is beautiful, the receptionist was super nice and kind with us, the bed was comfortable, the restaurant zone of the hotel is beautiful and elegant. (also the room had a tiny fridge)

In a quiet location of Zermatt, Hotel Romantica offers a garden, free WiFi, and rooms with flat-screen cable TV. Thor and Michele are incredibly welcoming hosts; we'd jump at the chance to visit again. The couple, along with their charming cat and dog, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is not only cozy but also beautifully adorned for the Christmas season. Breakfast, reminiscent of a hotel spread, featured everything one could desire: juices, coffee, hot chocolate, and a variety of hot courses like bacon, sausages, scrambled and boiled eggs. The selection extended to fresh fruits, breads, and delectable croissants, often served warm from the oven. Conveniently located in the city center, the hotel offers easy access to numerous restaurants and bars. Thor's recommendations led us to some fantastic spots. The proximity to all three gondolas, just a 10-minute walk away, makes the hotel an ideal hub. While city taxis and shuttle buses are available, we preferred leisurely strolls through streets lined with shops and cafes. Despite a late arrival, Thor provided detailed instructions for obtaining the keys and ensured a smooth check-in. His thoughtful gesture of complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the railway station made the stay even more enjoyable, sparing us from lugging our luggage.

Situated on a rock, 45 metres above the roofs of central Zermatt, guests access The Omnia via a tunnel leading to an elevator, which brings them right into the lobby. The room, the staff, the facilities- amazing.

First opened in 1879, Grand Hotel Zermatterhof is a traditional luxury establishment in a central but peaceful location in Zermatt. Beautiful, restaurant staff and housekeeping excellent! Spectacular breakfast.

A member of “Leading Hotels of the World”, the 5-star Mont Cervin Palace was opened in 1851. It is situated in the heart of Zermatt, 300 metres from the train station. All the staff from concierge to reception to restaurant to housekeeping are very polite, helpful and positive. Their dedicated attitude is focused on the perfect guest experience. The hotel has a wonderful spa, which is just what you need after a long day of skiing or snowboarding. Furthermore the ski room facilities are second to none with ventilated lockers for each room, and helpfully a ski shop is attached within the same building, so equipment rental can be charged to your room with one click. no need to leave the hotel to rent equipment or buy the latest gear. Located right in the village, so quite far from the ski lifts if walking in ski gear BUT the facilities, service & positive vibes outweigh this, and worth the daily taxi ride at 12 CHF each way to the ski lifts. However, being in the village means that you are right smack in the middle to shop in all the big brand watch & clothing stores, and have all the restaurants right on your door step. The lively part of town therefore is at your fingertips. The restaurants within the hotel are wonderful though, so you don’t necessarily have to venture out to dine. The rooms are perfectly clean, homely, well equipped and the suites are very spacious. Modern touch button showers and baths with rainfall showers, soft fluffy towels and also wonderfully heated when you come back after a day out in the snow. Comfy, homely with a Swiss touch of magic and the view of the Matterhorn or surrounding mountains. I keep returning every year, and truly highly recommend this wonderful hotel with all its fabulously helpful staff, which I cannot praise enough. I have stayed in all of Zermatt 5 star hotels, but the Mont Cervin Palace is the winner for me every time. Thank you to all the staff for making each stay more than memorable for all the right reasons.

As the first hotel ever built in Zermatt, the Monte Rosa is located right in the centre of the village and 400 metres from Zermatt Train Station. Great location very friendly staff

Situated in the Bahnhofstrasse in car-free Zermatt, the Hotel Schweizerhof offers you three restaurant, concierge service and free WiFi. The staff was great, they really do try their best! Honestly, absolutely everyone was great, reception, breakfast, restaurants. I came many times to the main Resto and it was always an excellent experience, I love the atmosphere, the design,and the food is of course also delicious. It was first stay at the hotel and I found it great, super cosy room (the bed was fantastically comfortable) ! If you come with a small child, mind the fact that the music in the main restaurant and bar is very loud. I never really noticed until I came with a three month old baby, ha! But that's what makes the place feel so fun for adults!
