Exceptional value for money. Everything is made from the heart in this hotel, breakfast buffet was healthy and very delicious. Mr. Thor and his wife were very warm, helpful and went out of their way for us to have a great stay. We had a gorgeous room with the beautiful city/Mountain View. Room was excellent size, super clean and super comfy. They helped us with the luggage upon check in and dropped us back to the train station. Couldn’t be more happier in Zermatt. Location is perfect just seconds away from the main shopping street. Thank you very very much

Situated on a rock, 45 metres above the roofs of central Zermatt, guests access The Omnia via a tunnel leading to an elevator, which brings them right into the lobby.

First opened in 1879, Grand Hotel Zermatterhof is a traditional luxury establishment in a central but peaceful location in Zermatt. the location is central and convenient. this is an historic hotel but looks good and very nice - outside and inside. we have been in various luxury hotels and here you get the grand hotel experience. excellent staff. excellent pianist in the lobby. big nice spa. the breakfast hall is a masterpiece. we enjoyed both their restaurants, especially the fondue. they have an horse and carriage. from our room we saw the matterhorn. extremely recommended.

Unique Hotel Post is situated in the centre of Zermatt, a 5-minute walk from the train station. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Some of the rooms boast views of the Matterhorn. Room was very nice and convenient. Central Zermatt and only 5min walk to the train station. Staff at front desk and restaurant were both very friendly and helpful! Balcony view was great (not on the Matterhorn side) and the facilities were amazing. Everything very modern and clean and I really like the wood look throughout the hotel. Very good breakfast, our bathroom had a skylight and the bed was very comfortable. All around a great stay.

A member of “Leading Hotels of the World”, the 5-star Mont Cervin Palace was opened in 1851. It is situated in the heart of Zermatt, 300 metres from the train station. All the staff from concierge to reception to restaurant to housekeeping are very polite, helpful and positive. Their dedicated attitude is focused on the perfect guest experience. The hotel has a wonderful spa, which is just what you need after a long day of skiing or snowboarding. Furthermore the ski room facilities are second to none with ventilated lockers for each room, and helpfully a ski shop is attached within the same building, so equipment rental can be charged to your room with one click. no need to leave the hotel to rent equipment or buy the latest gear. Located right in the village, so quite far from the ski lifts if walking in ski gear BUT the facilities, service & positive vibes outweigh this, and worth the daily taxi ride at 12 CHF each way to the ski lifts. However, being in the village means that you are right smack in the middle to shop in all the big brand watch & clothing stores, and have all the restaurants right on your door step. The lively part of town therefore is at your fingertips. The restaurants within the hotel are wonderful though, so you don’t necessarily have to venture out to dine. The rooms are perfectly clean, homely, well equipped and the suites are very spacious. Modern touch button showers and baths with rainfall showers, soft fluffy towels and also wonderfully heated when you come back after a day out in the snow. Comfy, homely with a Swiss touch of magic and the view of the Matterhorn or surrounding mountains. I keep returning every year, and truly highly recommend this wonderful hotel with all its fabulously helpful staff, which I cannot praise enough. I have stayed in all of Zermatt 5 star hotels, but the Mont Cervin Palace is the winner for me every time. Thank you to all the staff for making each stay more than memorable for all the right reasons.

As the first hotel ever built in Zermatt, the Monte Rosa is located right in the centre of the village and 400 metres from Zermatt Train Station. Very comfortable rooms in this hotel. Very clean and located right in the center. What you need in 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Very good value for money. Breakfast also was perfect.

Situated in the Bahnhofstrasse in car-free Zermatt, the Hotel Schweizerhof offers you three restaurant, concierge service and free WiFi. Very conveniently located a few mins walk from train station, we arrived the first day the hotel re-opened for the summer season. Front desk staff are exceptionally helpful, in particular Philip who recommended that the gondola up to Matterhorn despite webcam showing overcast. It was not too crowded (would not be to do it in high season with huge crowds) and the views were stunning as the clouds disappeared on our way up and area at the top with ice cave & ice sculptures very much worth a wander. Returned to immaculate spacious junior suite which was exactly as depicted and very much appreciated after stay at another Zermatt hotel which was dire. Made use of beautiful spa & pool, both immaculate and huge. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. Bar staff exceptionally friendly and helpful like front desk with extensive bar and excellent cocktails. On the way to Zermatt from Lauterbrunnen, we left a small backpack with new hiking poles bought in Zurich on a train (had three train changes). We filed a report with lost & found, hopeful it would be turned in. Three weeks later the backpack turned up and was sent to Zermatt as that's what we had requested. We were able to organize DHL to ship it home to us but need the backpack packaged. My husband spoke to Philip at hotel on the phone and the hotel got our backpack from the train station, packaged it for us, DHL picked it up from the hotel and we got it four days later with everything intact, even the cookies given to us by hotel in Bern (which were incredibly delicious).
