In a quiet location of Zermatt, Hotel Romantica offers a garden, free WiFi, and rooms with flat-screen cable TV. We stayed 2 nights in this lovely property, welcomed by even more charming and helpful hosts, Michelle and Thor. The room was recently upgraded, tastefully decorated, and from the balcony, had excellent mountain views. The property itself is centrally located, still a short 2 mins walk down to the main street, so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the main market, yet at stone’s throw distance from all shops, restaurants etc. Thor was so very helpful, and takes exceptional pride and enthusiasm to guide you on your queries and provide suggestions and recommendations, which were all so helpful, it was like living with family who provided invaluable local intel, and made our trip all the more memorable. Thor’s recommendations were always so spot on ! I can safely say the property is one of the most photographed hotels in Zermatt, as everytime we were either leaving or entering the property, there were always some tourists clicking pictures in front of the lovely garden, you need to see the pictures of the property to understand what I am saying. Michelle provided the warm welcome and homely feel. Every tiny details were taken care of, as an example, when we checked in, we realised there was no sugar sachet in the room. When we asked, Thor personally came up to the room to welcome us (we had not met him at check-in) and brought the sugar sachets with him. This speaks volumes of the care both Michelle and Thor take of their guests. Whenever we visit Zermatt again, I am definitely staying here again !

First opened in 1879, Grand Hotel Zermatterhof is a traditional luxury establishment in a central but peaceful location in Zermatt. This was one of the most magnificent hotels we’ve ever stayed in and easily the best on our most recent European vacation. Everything about this hotel is wonderful! The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, the room was big and perfectly appointed with a wonderful balcony overlooking the centre of Zermatt and the glorious Matterhorn peak making for the most picturesque holiday photos. The bathroom is excellent with a dreamy shower and even a two in one toilet that rinsed your behind with warm water (much better than a bidet which we can never work out in Italy!) Breakfast was also delicious and served in the delightful, old world charm dining room that also serves as the Lusi Brasserie in the evening, (and make sure you book that ahead for dinner because that was also exceptional!) And don’t miss the pool, sauna, steam room and ice room! Just fantastic! All staff were of the highest quality and in particular front desk staff member Julia was also wonderful organising our departure transport and answered all of our questions during our stay. Highly recommend this superb hotel and we can’t wait to return!

Unique Hotel Post is situated in the centre of Zermatt, a 5-minute walk from the train station. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Some of the rooms boast views of the Matterhorn. all is perfect! the room was beautiful with a view in every corner. the hotel and the room are warm and scented. the staff are helpful and nice.

A member of “Leading Hotels of the World”, the 5-star Mont Cervin Palace was opened in 1851. It is situated in the heart of Zermatt, 300 metres from the train station. It was over expectation The staffs were good, smile and kind. The Room and all areas are amazing. Facilities were all the best.

As the first hotel ever built in Zermatt, the Monte Rosa is located right in the centre of the village and 400 metres from Zermatt Train Station. This hotel was perfect. Very comfortable beds, very clean rooms and very friendly employees. We miss George at the reception already!

Situated in the Bahnhofstrasse in car-free Zermatt, the Hotel Schweizerhof offers you three restaurant, concierge service and free WiFi. Amazing rooms. Stayed in 641. Awesome view. Very prompt service and the food is also very good. Excellent location.
