The location was great, near Parco Ciani, city centre and many restaurants around, 14 min walk to train station Very clean room, comfortable bed The staff was amazing, they even helped my husband to surprise me with cake, prosecco and balloons for my birthday

The Hotel Acquarello is located in the Old Town of Lugano, right at the lower terminus of the funicular connecting the centre to the main railway station. Very clean rooms, and very kind and accommodating staff.

The Hotel de la Paix is near Lake Lugano, about 1 km from the city centre and the train station. It offers an out-door pool, free WiFi, free parking on site and free minibar use. What a lovely stay! We had a beautiful big corner room (junior suite) with a huge porch to a lake and pool view. Location was excellent - right near everything. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and offered us free bus and train tickets which we used, maps and even adaptors (we left ours behind;)) Live music in the restaurant, a big blue pool and a FREE minibar!! Definitely would recommend a stay here
